Advising in the development of a heating network in Bayonne

A project rooted in the Basque Country

Patrick Labayle, partner at Ravetto Associés, and Jules Stolar, associate, assisted the cities of Bayonne and Saint-Pierre-d’Irube in the creation of a heating network, in partnership with Manergy. This project meets the requirements of the City of Bayonne’s ecological and solidarity transition agenda.

Dalkia has been awarded the concession contract and will be responsible for creating and operating the future heating network.

The heating network will serve 2,280 housing equivalents, healthcare facilities, new housing, and schools.

The project is based on a specific energy mix: thalassothermal energy and biomass heating. It is fully in line with the ambitions of the Basque Country urban community’s Climate Plan, which aims to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050.
