Paul Ravetto at the French Energy Law Association

What role for network operators in decarbonization?

On December 13, 2024, Paul Ravetto, partner at Ravetto Associés, participated in a symposium organized by the French Energy Law Association (AFDEn). As moderator, Paul Ravetto led a roundtable discussion titled “The role of network operators in decarbonization,” which brought together representatives from CRE, RTE, GRTgaz, and Enedis.

The discussion was guided by the following questions:

  • What are the challenges of decarbonization (regulatory, technical, pricing)? What does this concept entail?
  • What are the objectives, obstacles, and means of this movement?

Founded in 2008, AFDEn is an association dedicated to the energy sector. It brings together lawyers, institutions, and professionals from the energy sector around a common ambition: to share knowledge, compare practices, and advance legal analysis in this constantly evolving field. The 2024 conference, themed “Energy and decarbonization of the economy,” aims to provide an overview of the legal and operational challenges and major deadlines associated with this major industrial objective.
